The two co-hosts, both of whom are around my age, both admitted that they had always expected to be more mature by the time they reached their current ages. That really caught my attention. They were admitting on a nationally syndicated program what I had thought about myself on more than one occasion. Could it be that I’m not alone?
School supplies aisles in stores are fully stocked with supplies with SALE prices for kids returning to school on August 15. We at Temple Baptist have a wonderful opportunity to show some love to our local school community by rounding up some of the most needed supplies throughout the year.

Unhealthy churches disengage from the world around them, while healthy churches are focused on their mission and have an outward orientation that starts with their own locale.
According to the GlobalRichList.com, I am richer than 99% of all the people in the world. In fact, if you make $14,400 annually (that is $7.50/hour, the Arkansas minimum wage), you are richer than 92% of the world’s population. Are we blessed? You bet we are!
But being blessed is measured by so much more than income or wealth! The Scripture tells us…
Phones and social media are not the only distractions in life. We love to be entertained. We are busy! Most of us have short attention spans.
