Matthew 2:1-2 says “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying ‘Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship Him.’”
Not much is known about these wise men from the east. All we know is they were Gentiles who were prompted to seek Jesus because of a star. God placed a light in the sky to draw these Gentile men to the Light of the World.
This Friday, December 24th, our church is hosting our annual Christmas Eve Service from 5:00pm-6:00pm. This service will remind us that, “the true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.” (John 1:9a) I want to encourage you to come be a part of this time of worship and invite your friends as well.
God still enjoys drawing men to Himself. And who knows? Maybe God wants to use your invitation to draw more people to the Light of the World.
