June 7, 2020 UPDATE: When Governor Hutchinson gave the go-ahead for churches to return to indoor, in-person worship services on May 10th, we felt it was in our best interest to continue with online and drive-in services for a while to see what the numbers would tell us. The majority of you agreed with our decision based on your responses to our survey last month.
The graph above shows the seven-day rolling average for Northwest Arkansas (aka Benton and Washington Counties). As you can see, over the past three weeks, the seven-day rolling average has increased by more than ten fold! We will continue to watch these numbers closely. At this point, the criteria that we have set to return to indoor, in-person services is to have 14 days of plateau or diminishing number of new cases in our area. Once these numbers are decreasing, we will reopen our facilities with some health restrictions and social distancing guidelines.
Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility! We know that the weather is growing warmer (thus the earlier start time). Please pray for us as we seek to find the balance between comfort and cautiousness!
June 3, 2020 UPDATE: With the consistent increase of new Coronavirus cases in Northwest Arkansas, we are choosing to continue worshiping outside and online for the time being. Because of the rising temperatures of summer, we will be meeting for worship at 10:00 am each week starting June 7, 2020. We look forward to seeing you there or hearing from you online! Thank you for your prayer and support!
