On Monday, March 16th, the White House released guidelines to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). As a church, we want what is best for your health and wellbeing. Our pastoral staff met together to discuss how we can continue to care for your spiritual health during this time. We’re excited about the opportunity we have to pursue creative approaches to ministry and the potential for reaching the members of our community during this time. Currently, we are expecting to not be able to meet in a large gathering through Mother’s Day, following the 8-week guidelines issued by our government which are subject to change as information is more available.
Our Plan in Brief:
- We will begin live streaming sermons and services on 3/22. No physical meeting will take place.
- Please, reach out to one of our pastors for assistance connecting to our live stream.
- For members who cannot or are unable to join, we will deliver a video recording of the sermon the following week.
- For Palm Sunday (4/5), Easter (4/12), and Mother’s Day (5/10), we are making arrangements to host a drive-in church, so that we may gather while following social distancing guidelines.
- Sunday and Wednesday evenings will be dismissed until further notice. We are working to provide materials/ resources for families to have Sunday and Wednesday Bible studies.
- There are multiple options for giving offerings and tithes:
- Drop off at the church office during business hours.
- Mail checks to the church office.
- Request to have it picked up from your home.
- To stay connected, we’ve set up a church announcement platform. You may have received an invitation to join this earlier today. If you did not, follow the instructions below to stay connected.
How to Stay Connected:
We realize that a remote church does not provide an opportunity to stay as connected as we’d like. We are working on developing ways for Sunday School classes to meet. Additionally, take this opportunity to reach out to those around you. Call five people this week and see how they are doing.
In His service,
Your Pastoral Team
