This second sermon in the series from Revelation 2 and 3 focuses on the church in the city of Smyrna. In the six other letters we’ll be looking at, Jesus commends the church and then rebukes the church, but this doesn’t happen in the letter to Smyrna. In this letter, we’ll see that Jesus is seeking to encourage these faithful believers because of the difficult road that lay ahead of them.
