1. We need to acknowledge the consequences of our sins. We are dead in our trespasses and sins. Ephesians 2:1-3
2. But God, because of His abounding mercy, made us alive with Christ. We can accept the hope of life. Our spiritual death has been replaced with life. Ephesians 2:4-6
3. Appreciate God marvelous grace. Why did God do all this? Ephesians 2:7-10.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8
