In the first section (v 51-56), Jesus went again to the region of Samaria with the good news. In the next section, we are introduced to three different men who have the opportunity to follow Christ. The first man has issues with the lack of security and comfort that accompanies following Christ. The second man is allowing family issues to keep him from following Christ. And the third man is struggling to let go of his life—friends and family members—to follow Christ without hesitation. Following Christ cannot be a half-hearted endeavor.
